From our recent vacation in Colorado. The first stop - the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Luckily, it was Free Day - no cost to enter. For Colorado residents only, though. But, since no one asked, we didn't tell.
Emma's recent school project was about family history and culture. With just a little help from Mom and Dad, she put together this board and then presented it to the first-grade and kindergarten classes at Harmony.
One of the perks of being a Girl Scout leader is being able to go to a leader/daughter weekend once a year. This year it was over Valentine's Day weekend. This Girl Scout camp is located in La Porte, east of Houston along the ship channel. We stayed in a dorm with other leaders and their daughters. It's from Friday night until Sunday morning. We eat and do most of our activities and crafts in the lodge.
It's just a nice, relaxing weekend. Emma loves going because this is as close as she gets to camping. We are not a camping family and this as "rough" as it gets at a Girl Scout camp.
The other night we were at the local park when Emma looked up and said "Rocket". Luckily I had my camera. The sun was setting behind the plane and lit the vapor trail.
