In what is becoming a holiday tradition, we once again were lucky enough to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra during their Winter 2017 tour.

This summer our nephews Thunder and Lightning came for a visit. We took them to the Cockrell Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

Battleship Texas

No trip to the San Jacinto Monument is complete without boarding the Battleship Texas.

And while you're there, why not fire a few rounds downrange? Emma was aiming a little low.

San Jacinto Monument

We recently toured the San Jacinto Monument, after I realized we'd never taken the kids.

After some time looking around outside, we made our way to the Observation Floor.

The reflecting pool. In the upper right is the Battleship Texas. Below is the marshland and the Lynchburg Ferry.

Next stop, the battleship.
